The sports motorcycle
As you probably already know, a sports motorcycle is one that is optimised for speed. It is specifically designed, for acceleration, braking and turning corners when on paved roads. Usually a sports bike will have higher fuel consumption. Usually the positioning of a sports bike is the body forward over the tank. Usually the engine has high-performance with a lightweight framed.

A standard motorcycle is basically a very versatile motorcycle. The seating position is usually in the right riding position. You can place this bike in between the cruiser and a sports motorcycle. These types of motorcycles are usually recommended, for the beginner, as they are flexible and usually low-cost to run.
The moped motorcycle
A moped motorcycle will have the engine of a scooter, which usually ranges from 50 to 650 cc. They have a cleaner and quieter, all-round performance. You’re also likely to benefit from quite a bit of storage space. As they have a lower transmission, this makes it easy to learn to ride them.
The dual-purpose motorcycle
This motorcycle is also known as the dual sports, this bike is normally street legal, and is designed for off-road situations. It is typically similar to the dirt bike. You can get one of these bikes, which have lights, mirrors and signals that enable it to be licensed for public roads. The bike is higher than a normal street bike, and has a lower centre of gravity.
The Enduro motorcycle

A motocross motorcycle is built predominantly, for sports. Motocross is basically an all-terrain motorcycle sport. It is held on four circuits, and originated from the French; motocross is derived from the words “Motorcycle” and “Cross Country”.
The trials motorcycle
A trial motorcycle, is much lighter, and doesn’t have a seat, compared to other motorcycles. This bike is specifically created to be ridden in a standing position. Motorcycle trials, are non-speed events, which are carried out on this specialised motorcycle. This sport is most popular in the United Kingdom and Spain, although it does take place in other parts of the world too. This sport teaches a rider to have good throttle control.
